This year our program will have a hybrid format. All student dinners will be in person, while alumni regional dinners will have an in person or virtual gathering option.

Everything will be able to be referenced through your personalized portal. Login at My D12

“When Can I Sign Up To Host?”

Sign-ups will take place from Dec 12 – Jan 21.

“How Long Should My Gathering Last?”

We suggest planning your gathering to last between one hour and an hour and a half.

If you are hosting a student dinner please me mindful that students are traveling from campus or other commitments, having a clear start and end time is really helpful. It also helps to think ahead about how you’ll use your time, putting together a loose agenda can make everything run more smoothly!

“What Are Some Examples of Themes/Topics?”

Choose a topic or theme that resonates with you, this could be career and industry related (such as Bruins in Entertainment), food related, or any other interests, passions and affinities you have (like Bruin Athletics). If you are hosting an alumni to alumni dinner specifically you can also theme to location.

“When Can I Sign Up To Attend?”

Student Attendee Sign ups will take place starting Jan 6. Alumni Attendee Sign-ups will begin starting Jan 28.

“Will I Get Free Food?”

If you are a student, our local dinners will be in person, and your alumni host will provide meals at your gathering. For our Alumni dinners, if you select to attend an in-person gathering your host will notify you if they will be providing the meal, hosting a pot-luck-style dinner, or a no-host gathering at a restaurant.

“Can I Go to Any Gathering?”

Some of the gatherings are for students and others for fellow alumni – they will be noted by the gathering itself.

“How do I host / attend a dinner?”

To host or attend a gathering, go to My D12 and log in, or create an account by using the link at top right or your screen. Your personalized portal will allow you register, manage any hosting changes, and access all relevant details about a gathering as a participant.

“What if I don’t want to host at my home?”

You definitely can still host. You can coordinate a reservation at a local restaurant or other venue.

“Can I co-host?”

Yes, for our in-person student local gatherings you can indicate that you are willing to serve as a co-host. We will do our best to match you with a local host. If you are already co-hosting with another alum, they can add you to their host sign-up.
